I work at New Mexico State University as an associate professor of social studies education and as the Associate Department Head for Graduate Programs. My research interests include exploring the connections between education for social justice, multiculturalism, critical pedagogy and theory, and the social studies in the Chihuahuan Borderlands and beyond. My areas of expertise include curriculum theory, educational foundations, and research methodologies.
